Top 10 Emerging Jobs in the Future (2030-2050): With the constant innovation and major strides being made in technology, a large part of the U.S. and the world workforce will have to retrain for new jobs that will arise

What will you do when the machines will do everything over the next 10 to 15 years?

Digital Technology, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence are some of the factors that are paving the way for the creation of new jobs that never existed before. Considering these factors, candidates for jobs of the future will have to acquire new skills if they want to be competitive in the new labor market.

Here’s what the experts reckon will be the most in-demand jobs in the upcoming future. 

Data Detective 

Data usage is evolving, so a data analyst’s job needs to evolve along with it. Experts say, nearly 30 percent of the data generated will be real-time. More than simple data processing and report generation, data information will also need to be translated into understandable, relatable terms so that those handling it can work to implement the necessary measures for improvement.

Potentially relevant skills/abilities: Machine learning, data science, Python, Apache Spark, and problem-solving mentality.

AI Specialist

 AI has become a branch of computer science that aims to create intelligent machines and since has become an essential part of the technology industry. It is estimated that AI will see around 74% annual growth in the future soon. Candidates interested have a variety of routes to take—automation, robotics, computer programming, and other fields relating to math, technology, logic, and engineering. AI specialists have several roles to fill, including research science, software engineering, algorithm programming, and AI consultancy. Computer Science, Information Services and Technology, health informatics, Consumer Electronics are the industries engaged for AI managers.

Potentially relevant skills/abilities: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, TensorFlow, Python, Natural Language processing, command over Unix tools.

IT Service Broker

Just like stockbrokers, transpiration brokers, real estate brokers, and others, an IT service broker facilitates transactions based on their clients’ needs and wishes and within their prescribed budget.

With IT services in high demand, it becomes necessary for someone to play the role of negotiator between IT service providers and their customers. As someone ultimately responsible for intermediation, IT service brokers should be able to understand the customer’s requirements and identify vendors who can meet them. 

Potentially relevant skills/abilities: experience in real estate or stock brokering, Mathematical and Algorithm Knowledge, Focus on IT, cloud computing, and other digital technologies. 

Ethical Sourcing Managers

Sourcing managers are responsible for handling an organization’s end-to-end sourcing functions, which include finding the best suppliers, analyzing and calculating procurement costs, and decreasing expenditure. An ethical sourcing officer would presumably lead an ethical sourcing team. This group would be responsible for allocating corporate income in ways that align with the standards set by stakeholders.

Blockchain Specialist

The demand for blockchain specialists is on the rise nowadays. If you are trying to build a career in blockchain, then you must have seen job posts wanting blockchain specialists. Only the big company’s such as IBM, Accenture, Amazon, or even Facebook is now on the hunt for a skilled blockchain specialist. A blockchain specialist is a person who is highly skilled in blockchain technology and can develop blockchain-based solutions for business purposes. In reality, that person can focus on specific blockchain fields as well. As you already know, there aren’t many skilled blockchain people out there. And that’s why the market demand is quite high. This is why, with proper blockchain specialist training, you can easily land yourself in a great position.

Becoming a digital rehabilitation counselor requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in counseling.

Genomic Portfolio Director

A genomic portfolio director is an executive that will lead such a company and decide on what products need to be created. The individual in this position will have the task to create a strategy to market the new creations to the consumers and will have to ensure that the company keeps its foot on the gas. The future holds the marvels of gene-editing technologies and the use of CRISPR, a gene-editing tool that holds enormous potential to accelerate life science research, improve biotechnology, and even treat diseases, will take off in the future as predicted by Cognizant. This will give rise to many companies that will use such technologies to create new medicines at incredible rates.

Cyber City Analyst

Rapid urbanization is leading to smarter cities that aim to improve the lives of citizens through technology. The cyber cities of the future could require some new kinds of oversight and coordination. These needs will likely arise as technology takes over more and more processes. That’s where cyber city analysts would come in. Cybercity analysts will keep the tech up and running, much like electricians maintain the infrastructure of the power grid today. These folks would be responsible for overseeing the safety, security, and functionality of a city on a technical level.

Full-Stack Software Engineer

A full-stack software engineer is a web developer who works with both the front and back ends of a website or application. They can tackle projects that involve databases, building user-facing websites, or even work with clients during the planning phase of projects. A lot of employers (especially agencies who work on different kinds of sites) are looking for developers who know how to work on all the parts of a site, so they can use the best tools for the job regardless of whether it’s technically “front end” or “back end.” Hence the rise in companies listing full-stack development on job requirements.

Virtual Reality Manager

 Virtual reality is expected to grow rapidly and VR arcades will be able to provide immersive, high-definition multiplayer experiences. A VR arcade manager will manage the physical arcade and will liaise with the central VR software developers to make sure the latest and greatest VR experience is available and operational at all times. VR is being accepted as a better fit for organizations because the headsets allow trainees to see the real world overlaid with digital objects that will better prepare them for situations that may occur in real life.
